Is a "nuance" in a wine an aroma or a flavor?

“Nuance” can refer to any element of wine—flavor, aroma or both. It reminds me of when someone uses the term “note” in a wine description. To me, both “nuance” and “note” refer to a wine’s more subtle characteristics, or its details. So a wine might be “packed” or “gushing” with fruit flavors, but have just a “nuance” of spice.
